If VoiceSupport 2 isn't detecting your device after you've connected it to a computer, it's possible that the MIDI Source setting on your VoiceLive 3 or VoiceLive 3 Extreme isn't set to USB.

To verify this setting, enter the SETUP menu and then navigate to the MIDI tab.  Under SOURCE parameter, verify that you're set to USB instead of MIDI.
