This is how:
- Go to the main input page (which is also the output page).
- Set 'SR CONV' parameter to 'ON'.
- Set 'INPUT' parameter to 'AES' or 'S/PDIF', depending on the status bit from your console .
- Set 'CLOCK' to 'INT48', thus forcing the Finalizer to produce 48 kHz at the output.
This is, of course, assuming that you do not have the Finalizer hooked up with another device generating master clock. However, if you do take the clock from another source's word clock output, and send this into the Finalizer, the CLOCK setting should be 'EXT SYNC'. When set up as mentioned above, the Finalizer will accept any incoming AES or S/PDIF signal ranging from 31 to 49 KHz, and still send out 48KHz. Please note: this will only work on Finalizer 96Ks running software 3.50 with the latest hardware upgrades (to check if you have the latest hardware revision, look for the round 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96
logo during start-up. If you see it, you're all set. If you don't, your unit will require a hardware upgrade).
