- Make sure you are connected to the to the connector labelled 'Mic/Line' with and XLR connector on both ends. The 'monitor in' is not designed for a microphone.
- Make sure you have set the 'Mic Gain' on the VoiceLive 3. The easiest way to set this is to press and hold the setup button until the screen changes. It should say 'SING YOUR LOUDEST'. Follow the instructions.
- If you are using a condenser microphone be certain you have setup the unit for this or you will not receive the phantom power necessary to power your microphone correctly. You can set this on this same page by selecting 'INPUT-Condenser Mic'
- If you are using a condenser microphone be sure it is an XLR cable you are using to connect to the combination connector. An XLR to TRS cable will not deliver the 48v phantom to your microphone.
