FRONT PANEL - A left to right overview of the essential controls

CH 1 INPUT control determines the signal level coming into channel 1

CH 1 LOW CUT button is used if you want to eliminate frequencies below 25 Hz

CH 1 LOW/MID XOVER FREQ control determines the crossover point between low and mid frequency ranges

CH 1 MID/HIGH XOVER FREQ control determines the crossover point between mid and high frequency ranges

CH 1 LOW OUTPUT control determines the low frequency gain for channel 1

CH 1 MID OUTPUT control determines the mid frequency gain for channel 1

CH 1 HIGH OUTPUT control determines the high frequency gain for channel 1

CH 2 INPUT control determines the signal level coming into channel 2

CH 2 LOW CUT button is used if you want to eliminate frequencies below 25 Hz

CH 2 LOW/MID XOVER FREQ control determines the crossover point between low and mid frequency ranges

CH 2 MID/HIGH XOVER FREQ control determines the crossover point between mid and high frequency ranges

CH 2 LOW OUTPUT control determines the low frequency gain for channel 2

CH 2 MID OUTPUT control determines the mid frequency gain for channel 2

CH 2 HIGH OUTPUT control determines the high frequency gain for channel 2  

BACK PANEL connectors and controls from left to right

CH 2 HIGH output connector sends the signal to high power amp

CH 2 MID output connector sends the signal to mid power amp

CH 2 LOW output connector sends the signal to low power amp

CH 2 XOVER FREQ button leave in the OUT position to select a crossover point between 44 to 930 Hz, or press IN to select a crossover point between 440 Hz and 9.3 kHz for LOW/MID frequencies

CH 2 INPUT connector a signal is sent here from a mixer, etc

MODE buttons for stereo 3-way stereo operation, both buttons are set to the OUT position

LF SUM button leave this button in the OUT position to bypass this function

CH 1 HIGH output connector sends the signal to high power amp

CH 1 MID output connector sends the signal to mid power amp

CH 1 LOW output connector sends the signal to low power amp

CH 1 XOVER FREQ button leave in the OUT position to select a crossover point between 44 to 930 Hz, or press IN to select a crossover point between 440 Hz and 9.3 kHz for LOW/MID frequencies

CH 1 INPUT connector a signal is sent here from a mixer, etc

Note: If you want to use the CX3400 as a mono 3-way crossover, you can use the same settings as above on only one channel.
